SHP Family Advocate
Community Action is seeking candidates for the SHP Family Advocate position to join our SHP team at our 210 O Street location. This individual will be responsible for providing case management services to homeless families, ensuring their basic needs are met, and assisting them in addressing long-term goals and needs.
This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Starting Pay: $22.42/hour
Key responsibilities include:
Provide case management services through home visits, referrals, and limited transportation support.
Advocate for clients by coordinating services with community agencies and landlords.
Assist with housing placement, pre-inspections, and housing authority inspections.
Organize and document donations and in-kind contributions.
Conduct outreach through coordinated entry systems, assessments, and community events.
Ensure program compliance through accurate documentation and reporting.
Attend training and collaborate with staff to support agency goals and mission.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in human services, business, or related field preferred.
